We, at Pacific Communications Consultants, Inc., are deeply concerned about the rapidly evolving situation surrounding COVID-19. We suspect you are too. As part of our commitment to our community, we wanted to share this information with you.
COVID-19 will materially impact the cash flows of many businesses and nonprofits. We wanted to share a few resources.
1. Many county and local governments are offering grants to impacted businesses. These vary by jurisdiction and we encourage you to explore what options may be available in your area. See the small business relief efforts from Mayor Jenny Durkan's office.
Learn more about the City of Seattle's Small Business Stabilization Fund here, and complete your application (if needed).
2. News reports indicate that the federal Small Business Administration (SBA) will begin offering Economic Injury Disaster Loans to impacted small businesses and private, nonprofit organizations. These are low-interest loans meant to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that can’t be paid because of the disaster’s impact. As of this email, details and eligibility were still being finalized by the SBA. Learn more.
3. If needed, contact your financing institution who may be willing revise your loan agreement. For example, Craft3 is offering that option on a case-by-case basis. This includes potentially extending your due date, temporarily reducing payments, or taking other measures that may help your organization. It is important for you to understand that financial institutions must be informed about your hardships; their ability to support you during this time is contingent on learning about issues before they are critical.
You are not alone. We are all in this together.
Sincerely,
Regina Glenn
